Today, Auction started at per-defined time at 9.30 AM onwards, where total 122 players are gone for auction including 75 Indian players and 44 overseas players. Last year the biggest buzz made by Yuvraj singh who sold out for Rs.14cr, most expensive player of IPL 2014, this year had failed to make any buzz.
The Auction is managed by Richard Madley who is professional auctioneer from the country England. Richard Madley is associated with IPL auction since IPL 2008. Also, Sameer Kochar and aakash Chopra also will share insights of IPL auction on Sony Six.
This year, the franchises have a salary purse of Rs.63 crore each for the eighth season — a 5 per cent increase over last season’s purse.
